Iowa Gold Star Military Museum

Johnston, Iowa, United States

Museum curator Michael Vogt stated in a recorded Iowa PBS interview that the institution possesses the complete Civil War Medal of Honor awarded to Edward James Bebb, donated by the recipient’s family. A government-issued photograph also documents the museum’s Bebb display in 2021. This is specific, original-artifact evidence, not a general assumption that a museum of Iowa soldiers owns every named medal.
