Historical descriptionVirginia Tech’s War Memorial Court forms a central campus remembrance space above War Memorial Chapel. Its stone cenotaph records the university’s Medal of Honor alumni, joining their names to the broader memorial court and pylons that honor military service, sacrifice, and institutional values. Gary Lee Miller’s addition in 2020 brought the current total to eight alumni.
