Historical descriptionSicily-Rome American Cemetery and Memorial at Nettuno covers 77 acres and commemorates Americans lost during the campaigns in Sicily and mainland Italy. The site includes 7,845 graves, a chapel and map room, 3,095 names of the missing, formal gardens, and a modern visitor center that interprets the campaign through personal stories, photographs, film, and interactive displays.
