Visitor guidance The Museum and Visitor Center is the central starting point for Gettysburg battlefield interpretation, with exhibits and visitor services. Its NPS collection once hosted a documented six-month Medal of Honor spotlight exhibition during 2016. That exhibition has ended and the Archive does not assert that the named medals are on display today.
Historical description The Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center provides visitors with historical galleries, battlefield interpretation, collections research, an orientation film and access to the Gettysburg Cyclorama. The building stands near the scene of the July 1863 battle. Objects held in NPS collections help tell the story of soldiers from both armies and the larger national consequences of the Civil War.
