Historical description The Daniel K. Inouye National Center for the Preservation of Democracy is a program and venue of the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles. Through exhibitions, the Tateuchi Democracy Forum, lectures, fellowships, and civic programs, it examines rights, identity, race, social justice, and democratic participation while extending JANM’s historical mission beyond the museum’s core galleries.
