Historical descriptionThe Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum in Greenville, Texas, combines regional history with a substantial interpretation of Audie Murphy and other military service stories. The museum grew from local efforts to preserve the history of Hunt County, cotton culture, and Murphy’s connection to the area. Military galleries place his life and wartime service within that community setting.
